In a time that seems devoid of much hope, the recent mayoral election in New York City that brought Zohran Mamdani to power looks to be a bright spot. I was excited about his campaign anyway, but seeing former FTC Chair Lina Khan — who brought a slew of antitrust cases against major tech companies — is serving on his transition team really caught my attention. Mamdani’s transition and administration will surely be one to watch, but I’m intrigued to see what Khan will bring to his team.

In other news, I’m in the home stretch on the draft of my book, so expect Disconnect to start getting a bit more active soon than it has been the past few months. Thanks again for sticking with me over that time!
