I was excited to see the trial against Sam Bankman-Fried finally kick off this week, and the initial reporting that the government came out of the gate strong making its case for Sam’s guilt. I don’t have a big breakdown in this week’s roundup, but I have included a recommendation for where to find that information. I also spoke to Jacob Silverman over on Tech Won’t Save Us to break it all down for us.
In this week’s roundup, I provided some updates on recent stories covered in Disconnect: Linda Yaccarino’s recent statements, Apple’s claims to carbon neutrality in some of its products, and the threats by Google and Meta to pull news in Canada. Some are funny updates, while others are really not that great but I feel the context is important to have.
