So Musk is basically speedrunning NASA’s transformation into a SpaceX subsidiary. Wild how public space exploration is turning into a billionaire’s playground. Efficiency is great, but at what point does 'streamlining' just mean shifting control from government to one dude with a rocket obsession? Great article btw, Paris.
Good read but I must disagree. Democrats screaming, crying, and whining the most about DOGE need to be investigated first because when all the crooks are mad, you know something is going right. https://tinyurl.com/tnvy436u
For fuck's sake please please stop breathing life into the false promise of human colonization on Mars or the moon.
Elon Musk is perpetrating a fraud on the American people with his false claim of human colonization of Mars which will never, ever happen precisely because of insurmountable biological barriers.
I built an entire website that completely debunks the notion of human colonization in microgravity environments.
Take the information from my site and go beat Elon Musk about the head, neck and shoulder areas with these facts.
Musk's claim of human colonization of Mars cannot withstand introspective examination as I have proved on my website. You're welcome. https:// SpaceFraud.tech
Congrats you built your own website and got a .tech domain, that doesn't make it any more credible. I'm not siding with any of these billionaire owned companies. Regardless of who goes to do it first, going to space and settling other worlds is important for humanity and conserving the earth. I personally would love to see NASA lead that but people that lack ambition for anything have held them back for years. Saying that the obvious detriments to human health is not something that can eventually be overcome is in my eyes a lack of ambition. Yes these problems are serious but that doesn't mean we should stop trying.
That’s because you didn’t go to medical school or law school and do not have decades of experience in these areas. You see it as an ambition problem because you are incapable of realizing that reverse blood, amniotic and spinal fluid flow cannot be corrected or adjusted by medicine, medical treatment or any other means, other than to return the body to Earth gravity.
Apparently you haven’t read astronaut Scott Kelly’s account of the living hell he went through at home after spending a year in Earth orbit gravity…..it’s on my site…you should read it and you may get a clue to what humans in microgravity are facing……it’s not about being tough or having a sufficient amount of ambition….those human characteristics are not barriers to human colonization in microgravity environments - insurmountable biological barriers such as the severe medical complications as a result of reverse blood flow in the brain and body, especially reverse amniotic fluid flow in your spine that precludes human colonization in any microgravity environment.
Apparently you didn't review my website. You sound like you have an ambition problem in terms of learning, understanding and applying medical science to the human body in a microgravity environment.
Medical school? Sure I'll give you that one, I'm not a medical professional. Law school? What does that have to do with going to space and the effects of being there for a long time?
I have read about Scott Kelly's challenges after he spent all that time up there, you can't assume that I haven't. I for sure won't be rereading it from your website. I'll say it again, my points stand even after your mountain of text.
It do recognize the effects on health are a serious problem and I won't allow some internet random to tell me that I haven't thought about it or am incapable of thinking about it. I have no doubt that the bright engineers and scientists of NASA and these companies will eventually solve them. They are very much worth solving for. It may take decades, and I'm not saying that it will be easy. But it is worth doing for the reasons I mentioned and giving up is 100% a lack of ambition.
I may not be a doctor but I am a web engineer and your website is poorly built, and you can't go around posting links to something like that while acting like you're an authority on the subject. There are way better sources out there for me to read. See what I did there? I didn't have to pick fun at that, but since you're trying to say I lack credibility for my profession, here we are. Fire with fire.
You're entitled to your opinion, and to hate billionaires. Heck I do too, Elon is insufferable. But regardless of what you think about them, we need to spend time on these problems. That's not me claiming I understand all the science behind it and you entirely missed my point. All I'm saying is it's worth doing and giving up on it and preferring to spend money on pointless wars will get us nowhere except our own extinction.
Very classy, you sound very educated. Hey everyone this guy is the defacto authority on spaceflight, you should always trust a guy who goes for bar fight insults. I made it clear I don't even like Elon Musk and this guy's single braincell still tries to paint me like an Elon fan boy cause that's all he knows. I'm probably more educated than you are my friend, I'm proud of my career, you should find something better to do 😅
He removed his comment, but just for everyone else he went and cussed me out and called me uneducated. Form your own opinions but don't get them from this guy and don't support his website. If he could keep it civil, it'd be another thing.
Can we just agree to give them Mars. They can go there and rule the whole planet and do their government efficiency there.

Perhaps DOGE should cut the wasteful spending on SpaceX.
