Tech billionaires and their lobbying is fine - as long as there is robust antitrust and anti-competition regulatory action, we might see the best of both worlds: equitable capitalism (my fever dream, I guess). Watch where tech bro lobbying money aims its focus and you'll see a target on regulatory agencies and legislation.

CCI has been a fascinating group to watch. Form their formation, they've mimicked and acted like they wanted to be Canadian Manufacturers & Exporters for the 21st Century. They even learned from some of their peers mimicry in picking up their Council name in the theme of the Council of Canadians. And, while their peers to the south are clearly worthy of comparative concern domestically, one wonders what of the actual industrial lobby. After all, CCI might have Tobi, and Harley, and Jim (oh my), but, CME was formed by an act of Parliament, and... I haven't heard much from them during this election cycle. One only needs to look to the "Manufacturing Budget" of 2015 to see what their efforts under a Conservative government look like. Further, many of the answers to the questions of "what do we do with a problem like Trump 2.0" were previously published in that exact budget submission cycle.
